Blocks: falling pieces
Fit the seven pieces together to complete rows: marathon or line races on your own, or a real-time duel sending garbage to your opponent. With hold, ghost piece, T-spins, combos and adjustable handling.
- Players: 1 to 2
- Elo-ranked games: Yes
How to play: Blocks
Falling blocks: fit the seven pieces together to complete rows, which disappear. Solo or 1-on-1 in real time.
- Move with ← → (or A/D), rotate with ↑ / X or Z the other way, soft drop with ↓ and hard drop with Space. C or Shift holds the piece (once per piece).
- On mobile: on-screen buttons, or swipe on the board (tap to rotate, drag to move, flick down to drop).
- Every complete row is cleared: single 100, double 300, triple 500 and quad 800 points, times the level. Every 10 lines you level up and pieces fall faster.
- Rotate a T into a covered gap and you’ll make a T-spin (worth more). Chaining quads or T-spins gives a 50% bonus (B2B), and clearing rows in a row builds a combo.
- Versus: every double, triple or quad sends garbage rows to your opponent (1, 2 and 4; T-spins, combos and B2B more). Your own lines cancel incoming garbage before it lands. Whoever tops out loses.
Tips and options
- The shadow under the piece shows where it will land. The next 5 are shown on the right, and both players get the same pieces in the same order.
- The host picks the starting level, the goal (no limit, or a race to 20, 40 or 150 lines) and whether there’s garbage.
- In “Handling” you set how long before a held arrow repeats (DAS) and how fast (ARR).
- The ranked game is the 1-on-1 versus and changes your Elo (if nobody shows up, against a bot of your level). Solo and rooms with friends don’t count for Elo. If you play solo and disconnect, the game pauses.
Fit the pieces, clear rows and bury your opponent in garbage.
