Reversi online
Sixty-four squares, two-sided discs and one rule: trap a line of your opponent’s discs between two of yours and they become yours. It takes a minute to learn and the corners change everything. Play ranked, with friends or against bots, in 2D or 3D.

How to play: Reversi
Reversi for two players on an 8×8 board. Whoever ends with the most discs of their colour wins.
- The game starts with four discs in the centre, two of each colour placed diagonally. Black moves first.
- On your turn, place a disc on an empty square so that it traps one or more of your opponent’s discs in a straight line (horizontal, vertical or diagonal) between the new disc and another of yours.
- Every trapped disc flips over to your colour, in all directions at once.
- You may only place where something flips. With no move available you pass and your opponent plays again.
- When neither player can move (usually with a full board) the discs are counted: most discs wins. Equal counts are a draw.
Tips and options
- The squares where you can play are marked: tap one.
- Corners can never be flipped back: they’re the most valuable squares. The ones next to them often hand a corner to your opponent.
- Each player has a clock with an increment per move; if yours runs out, you lose.
- In ranked games you win or lose Elo depending on your opponent’s level.
