Word of the Day

One challenge a day: the same word for everyone, its letters scrambled and a clue that defines it. Put them in order with as little help as possible.

1. Read the clue and tap the tiles in the order of the word (or type it). Tap a filled slot to give its letter back.
2. Press Check once they are all placed. If it is not the word it counts as a miss; five misses end the attempt.
3. Stuck? A hint puts the next letter in its place (at least two letters are always left for you).
4. Scoring: you start with 1000; each hint costs 150, each miss 100 and each second 1, up to 5 minutes.
5. Only your first attempt of the day counts: it goes on today's board and into your streak of days in a row.

Tips and options

• The word changes at midnight (Madrid time). There is a Spanish list and an English one, each with its own board.
• When you finish you can share your result with emojis: hints, misses and time, never the word.
• Streaks have achievements: 3, 7 and 30 days in a row.
